Fix Auto

Designed for a rapidly expanding autobody business, Fix Auto’s new building in Lethbridge was inspired by their refined practice. We thought that the specialized industry of autobody care could be reciprocated in the practice of architecture, bringing an elevated attention to building detailing and object refinement. Large, horizontal, insulated metal panels clad the building, and provide the tactile continuity between vehicle and architecture. It provides a slick, clean, and manufactured aesthetic to procure an image of standardized excellence. The size of the panels provide a basic modular dimension for structural bay sizes, and dictate other architectural elements such as door and window sizes.
