Douglas J. Bergen & Associates Ltd. has been involved with a global anti-hunger project, called Canstruction, for the last 10 years. Canstruction was founded by the Society for Design Administration which plans competitions all over the world with teams of engineers, architects, engineers, designers, builders, and students. These competitions involve designing and building models using donated canned food and other non-perishable items as building blocks. These structures are exhibited and judged by the public and then de-canstructed with all the food going to community Food Banks. In Lethbridge, all food is donated to the Lethbridge Inter-Faith Food Bank for distribution to the needy in the community. Our office is proud to be a part of such a worthy cause.
